The Escuela Hotelera of San Juan
The Escuela Hotelera of San Juan grew and developed as an autonomous institution of the vision and initiative of Ms. Sylvia Cestero León to provide to Puerto Rico a prestigious training center in programs related to catering services. In the beginning was part of the Vocational Lyceum Sylvia Cestero de Toyos, a vocational institution, of high skills technique with more than twenty years of service. The Escuela Hotelera of San Juan grew and developed as autonomous institution with headquarters at Calle Mayaguez and classrooms at Barbosa Avenue and 65th Infantry Avenue until 2003 when it moved to its new facilities at Num. 229 Calle Guayama, in Hato Rey.
For almost years since its foundation, the Escuela Hotelera of San Juan has impacted significantly the food and beverage industry and the community in general. Proofs of this are the countless activities that promote the presence of graduates in prestigious professional scenarios.
In August 2009, the Escuela Hotelera of San Juan opened its campus in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico located on Highway 114, Km 0.4, Sector Western Industrial Park, Barrio Guanajibo, in Mayagüez. This campus offers modern facilities to prospective students interested in training in Specialist in Culinary Arts, International Baking and Pastry career.
