A.   The Act No. 284 of 2011, to establish that educational requirements in Puerto Rico are measured, accredited, licensed and approved in credits and hours, by any entity or regulatory or accrediting agencyof the different professions and trades.

National Agency of Accreditation: Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and College (ACCSC)

ACCSC measures credits program in the Escuela Hotelera of San Juan by credits per semester.

1 clock hour in theory: 1 unit

1 clock hour in laboratory: 1.5 units

1 hour of externship: 1 unit

1 hour of work out of the classroom : 0.5 units


All the Escuela Hotelera de San Juan students must comply with the requirements of credits per semester (as shown in the following table); In addition, for graduation purposes must accumulate 43.5 credits for the specialist program in culinary arts and 45.5 credits for the program of international bakery and pastry.
